Friday came around as quick as the bottom of the bottle Durin had been emptying. During strode in a determined manner to Zee’s place under the strand. He knocked three times on the door, with the creek of old rusty hinges the great wooden door opened. During was lead in by Carter one of Zee’s fixers, “she is expecting you, up stairs to the right”. During parted a heavy crimson curtain and entered a large room with minimal furniture , Zee was sat across the room at a desk, her eyes were shut and her hand lay delicately on a rucksack, thank you for coming Durin, “please come over here.”

What the! BOOM … the windows and part of the ceiling blew in

Zee!, just take the bag Durin we’ll meet again

A steel fell between them, Durin lost site of Zee so just grabbed the bag and ran through the collapsing building. Well that appears to be a touch of overkill, still we’ll just find what we are after in the rubble. Sir over there someone got out…. He has it follow and stay high , get teams into the strand. A cloud of smoke puffed out he front doors as they blew off their hinges, out of that flew Durin, at speed he headed to the lane opposite.left right straight across… now waiting at the corner. Don’t worry i got this, just shut you’re ears and eyess. Durin thought he felt something , a breeze maybe we can move now!

Durin glanced around the corner once more, a red mist settled where the guards had been “I’m not going to ask”. As he ran to the entrance of the sewer Durin thanked the voices in his head for their help. As Durin ran through the concrete and metalwork tunnels of the sewer he mind almost no noise, just the acational echo splash. Huh no must be hearing things, that sound again, Durin stopped and listened, someone was coming in on another tunnel a silent runner like him, that ruled out the guards. His heart skipped a beat as Zee came out of the darkness, a cut on her forehead was the only thing out of place. “Zee are you ok, I thought you were…gone” I’m fine lets get out of here! “Right”.

They ran with no further interference to the space dock. Once n Durins ship he started flicking switches, large powerful engines boomed into life and seconds later they were airborne then in space a corse plotted.

You wer right sir, they’ve just left space dock we are in pursuit, “GOOD”. Fire on them we can’t let them get to hyper space.

The shots hit true, Durins ship blew apart in a blast of blue flame. As they fell Durin held onto Zee and the bag, “ I’m sorry I failed you both” Zee didn’t say anything just held Durin close.

Don’t be sad, you have risked all for me now its my turn!

With that the bag started to glow and rip apart , giant black and red wings formed out of the light a strong body and great tail, gleaming sharp teeth grinned at Durin and Zee held in great claws… Your a Dragon!

With a flap of great wings they shot away from the inbound cruiser,

I hope you don’t get sick easily the dragon chortalled as a blue glow consumed them, Durin and Zee felt inside and out like they were falling and standing still all at the same time both were turning a lovely shade of green. A second later they were in the sky’s of Millaskia gliding towards the hive, Durin and Zee moaned but the cool air helped.

Durin and Zee landed quite smoothly on a white stone balcony, a slender tall women with amazing blue robes turned to address them.

Ah welcome I am Queen Milla, do you have it.. my egg?

With a wave of her hand a blue flash of magic rolled over our friends, with that their wound healed, it didn’t stop there, for their clothes repaired themselves as well.

Durin stepped forward “ well um sorry, no!”

NO you saidNO a look of anger and fear was on her face

Durin heard the flap of wing from somewhere behind him, taking one more step towards the queen he said “ no egg as promised but!” He stepped aside

With the sound of wind over running water and a flash of light our dragon landed in the room, no longer a scaly great lizard but a tall elf like man of beauty in black and red robes….

MUM! My baby , the queen rushed forward and embraced her son. Durin and Zee looked at each other and smiled letting out breath they haden’t realised they were holding.

The moment was soon interrupted by a strange hum/rumble coming from the clouds…

The armada ! gasped Durin

One arm still around her son the Queen spoke…” we trusted them once, never again”

Anger was all that lay on her face now, blazed from her eyes

She let out a trill/roar like sound and waved her free arm

There was the sound like a gust of wind that became a tornado then a thousand tornados

Durin and Zee turned to see thousands of dragons in all colours speeding to the skies fire lightning and ice proceeded their flight

Durin turned back to look upon the Queen her face now full of pride

The prince leant forward and in a smooth tone simply said “ fear not my friend”.
