The was on, Sargent Mchowel and his partner Sargent Barnes were on a drugs related case, following leads, clues and the good old hunch, unfortunately this had only gotten them so far. They hopped in their car and drove across town to the industrial district to meet with Mchowel's snitch, Fingers Kenny a 2bit thief and fence, who when caught some years earlier had rolled over on his buyers for leniency. They turned right between two large brick and steel warehouses into a wide area of of lockups, as they pulled over Fingers stepped out from the shadows, He fired a pistol at the car and bolted off into a open warehouse. Mchowel took up chase on foot while Barnes took the car round the back. Mchowel stood tight to the wall on the left of the door, "hey Fingers what you playing at man?" leave me alone man, I ain't talking! came back Fingers shouting from the shadows within. Mchowel ran in through the door and stooped behind some pallets, he scanned the area ahead of him and saw nothing. Suddenly two bullets came his way both went wide, the chase was back on an exchange of bullets lasted on a upper gangway. Click click click Fingers was out of bullets, he looked at his gun then at Mchowel and back to his gun, he dropped it a look of fear and confusion on his face. Mchowel stepped forward putting his gun away and holding his palms forward, " Hey man it's time to spill, I will protect you trust me!" Fingers sighed his shoulders slumped. "ok Mchowel I'll talk" As his mouth opened to talk his head made a sudden jerk to the left and exploded in a cloud of red, his boody slumped and fell over the railing. Mchowel looked around in shock where had the shot come from, he saw nobody so crouched and listened, not a sound came. A noise came from behind, Mchowel stood and spun in one motion , he stared down the barrel of a large calibre revolver. BARNES!!!
