I don’t remember much from before but, what I do know is what happened next and how I felt …
It was dark when I woke, my mind fuzzy eyes and head sore and aching, I couldn’t remember anything at first not even my own name, I only know that because of the name tag on my flight/jump suit. But as I said all was dark at first and not because my eyes were shut, and I was sure it wasn’t night, after a moment I realised I was sat on the floor, some sort of grid and cold made of metal. Calling out, hoping not to be alone, my calls were answered by silence, it was at this point that I realised not only was there no light but no sounds either not a hum or even a buzz nothing at all. I think I wanted to panic but was somehow calm, patting down my pockets I found quite a few tools (interesting) and three glow sticks, I cracked one instantly wishing I hadn’t.
In front of me about 3 feet away lay to bodies/people one wore a grey jumpsuit the other orange, both were dead, murdered! Judging by the drying blood large holes in their backs oh yeah and niether had eyes, 4 empty sockets somehow stared at me, no not at but into me. Fuck this! I got to my feet and cracked the second glow sticks, giving off a warm orange light , now holding my light high I was able to guess at my surroundings, a large space as the light couldn’t reach the walls or ceiling, I was on a suspended gangway, how far up was anybudies guess. Some distance in front I could make out what as I moved closer was a open door/hatchway. Through the hatchway I discovered my name tag.
Mr A Richards, Chief Engineer II class.
In the same breath as realising my own name I caught site of a computer terminal, it’s screen blinking. As I started to type it dawned on me, I knew what I was doing, getting the power back on a static hum filled the air and light followed a series of blink sounds. Now able to see I could take in my situation, another 10 bodies lay around me all missing there eyes covered in cloted black blood, staring straight ahead through a large steel-glass window I watched stars spinning by. All of these things were bad enough but the worst thing yet was the most telling the most chilling, my reflection reviled my jumpsuit stained with blood my hands dripping blood and a devilish grin apon my face. At this point my reflection screamed at me as I dug out my own eyes and kissed the air cannon that was blood stained on the floor.
